I see you set up a multiple-choice poll this time.

The instructions above it should read: Vote for up to four of the cities below based on the pairings in post 1:

1: Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim, CA vs 8: Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro, OR-WA
5: Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, WA vs 4: Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale, AZ
6: San Diego-Carlsbad, CA vs 14: Urban Honolulu, HI
7: Denver-Aurora-Lakewood, CO vs 2: San Francisco-Oakland-Hayward, CA

I've cast my votes in the poll and indicated them in boldface above.

San Francisco remains incredibly smug, but it still has more going on in and around it than Denver does. Not to mention that it has Oakland next door and Denver doesn't. Gotta get up on that Oakland Stroke!

Can I be biased and state that the top 8 metros in the West are far superior to the top 8 of any other region?

Honestly, all of these places are a pretty sweet place to live (just my opinion). I would be just as happy in Portland vs. LA or SF vs. Denver. Slight edge to Seattle due to beauty and slight edge to San Diego due to not being isolated in the middle of the ocean.
