I think the numbers are from 2018.
Way after your "exodus"
I think the same thread shows NOLA'S UA growing by over 100k after 2010.
I'm not sure what exodus you are referencing

Sounds like the opposite of an exodus to me.
You backed up my assertion that the urban area grew since 2010.
But why do you think Dallas is more dense than Nola?

This info is very old. DFW should pass 8 million people in the next 2-3 years.

Several corrections:

1. DFW is *THE* fastest growing metro area in the US on a numerical basis, by a fairly decent margin.

2. DFW's population is actually 7.6 million, not 6.8 million.

3. DFW is the 4th largest metro area in the country, on the verge of becoming the 4th largest urbanized area and also on the verge of becoming the 6th largest CSA.

This info is very old. DFW should pass 8 million people in the next 2-3 years and has been the 4th largest MSA for years.

Only information I can find are 2019 estimates that Dallas is over 8mill. I gave you actual fact numbers. Not saying you are wrong because I know it has been growing but Do you have the final actual numbers and not projections or estimates?

I don’t think our MSA is 8 million at this point, but I imagine the 2020 census (if not undercounted) will have us somewhere around 7.7 million.

He was using a previous CSA calculation. Metro is subjective, some prefer use MSA, some CSA, some UA, and so forth. Boston and the Bay Area are ahead on this On CSA calculation.
