I also see that no one has been bold enough to compare Uptown Houston to its Atlanta counterpart of Buckhead.

lol, they are very similar and serve a similar purpose. “Buckhead” is a much larger area than Uptown Houston as it contains large swaths of residential neighborhoods as well. You’d have to add in some surrounding areas to Uptown to make it an apples to apples comparison.

Let's look at build form here.
Lindbergh Center
Brookwood Hills
Buckhead Village
Lenox
Buckhead Heights

I'm only slightly familiar with the areas around Uptown on Post Oak and Westheimer and River Oaks was the only area I've seen that even slightly compares to the most urban parts of Buckhead.

Yeah these pics don’t really set it apart from Uptown Houston IMO.

I’ll let the Houston folks chime in on this one.

houston ftw!

BTW... This thread is now becoming more of a "Houston, TX VS Atlanta, GA: fight for urbanity, development, and dominance as southern cities".

What’s your argument though? These pictures don’t set Buckhead apart from Uptown in any way. I prefer Buckhead because Uptown H is too boujee for my liking, and while Buckhead also gives off boujee vibes, it’s a bit more inclusive than Uptown H. That works in favor to the affluent though, Uptown ands River Oaks has shops you can’t find in Atlanta.

Apart from the overpriced stores and condos, what's boujie about Uptown.
Buckhead seemed similar in that regard too
