Nightlife is a tad subjective, (gay, straight, bars, clubs, speakeasys, concert venues, etc.) but overall...
Los Angeles
SF
DC
Philadelphia
Dallas
Boston
Minneapolis
LA is out ahead by a good bit, SF-Dallas can be interchangeable depending on what you are looking for. In my experience there is a big drop-off for Boston and Minneapolis compared to the others.
DC has a great bar and club scene, but Philly has better music venues.
I just wish the bars and clubs weren't full of Official Washingtonians. (Well, tbh, I didn't get that vibe as strongly at the late lamented Nellie's Sports Bar on U Street.)
Surprised Boston isn't higher? Thought they were known for drinking? Surprised Dallas is ranked above them.
Binge drinking at home with the fellas aint nightlife
