Halifax is a very pleasant city and I'd welcome the opportunity to visit it again. But I've never been to Victoria and would like to see it (as well as nearby Vancouver), so I'll pick that one. Just don't want to leave people thinking I don't like Halifax.

Now, for those who want to include a better than average chance of spotting an EF-5 tornado during their vacation: Birmingham, AL or Oklahoma City, OK?

Oklahoma City, since the terrain is flatter and less filled with trees, especially to the west. I've never been to OK too. But unless if you're an avid storm chaser, "disaster tourism" isn't really for everyone. As far as the cities themselves, I'd probably go with Birmingham due to the larger historic footprint.

Continuing the weather theme: for those hoping to experience a white Christmas, would you rather visit Rochester, NY or Rochester, MN?

Rochester New York. Nothing says White Christmas than a white Christmas in New York. Plus You get a lot of Lake Effect snow from Lake Erie And as a bonus Rochester NY has a Waterfall. Imagine That on Christmas

Champaign Illinois or Charlottesville Virginia
(Flagship university towns)

I've visited both and would definitely choose Charlottesville. It has so much history and is in a gorgeous setting. I didn't find Champaign to be anything special.

Ocean Springs, Mississippi or Fairhope, Alabama?

I REALLY BADLY want to see Sloss Furnaces for myself, so Birmingham. And anyway, I've visited Memphis several times already.

Green River, UT, or Green River, WY?

Hard to imagine how incredibly remote and isolated two places can be that share the same name. Both of them sit in amazingly beautiful regions. I'm going to pick the one in Wyoming, because it's not quite as isolated as the one in Utah (it has Rock Springs and Little America nearby) and I think I'd like to explore the mountains of this region more.

Now, the northern termini of the nation's primary coastal interstate highways: Blaine, WA or Houlton, ME?

I'd rather visit Blaine. Not only is it more intriguing just because I've never been to that part of the country, but it seems like a very cool town to visit in its own right. The Semiahmoo Spit is a cool natural feature that I'd love to check out, and the entire town has a Twin Peaks vibe that I find very interesting.

US National Ski Hall of Fame (Ishpeming, Michigan) or USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Foundation Hall of Fame Museum (Davenport, Florida)?

Blaine, since I like its location between various cities and towns. I.e. Vancouver, BC, Lynden, WA, Bellingham, to name some examples. And I'd like to visit the US/Canada Peace Arch park off of I-5 by that border crossing, as well. Weird I initially overlooked reading up about Semiahmoo Spit, till I saw the comment above.

And for the late comment right after I posted this, I'll go with the National Ski and Snowboarding Museum. I like watching skiing and snowboarding whenever the Winter Olympics air, so naturally I'll pick that one.

Which of these 2 notable national parks/monuments along the US/Mexico border, would you more want to visit? Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument(Arizona), or Big Bend National Park(Texas)?

I’ve been to Big Bend twice and absolutely loved it, but I’ll take the new experience at Organ Pipe Cactus

Chico California vs Charlottesville, Virginia
