Well I already live in South Philly so obviously I have made my choice, so my choice rank at this stage of my life: 1. Philadelphia, 2. Brooklyn/Queens, DC, Dallas. Dallas may be leading the poll right now, but outside of loving hot weather year round, I don't get the appeal exactly. You can find just as good suburban living in the other three as dallas, but you can't get the urban lifestyle. DC is boring to me. It's expensive and, to me at least, lacks the energy and magnitude that makes NYC worth it.
1.) NYC - The biggest and best
2.) Philly - Cool, urban city, good food/sports scene, close enough to NY
3.) DC - Very nice quality of life, little slower pace, great walkable, sightseeing town. Pretty layout.
4.) Dallas - Spent very little time there and was mostly in suburbs like Richardson and Plano for work. Need to check out the actual city.
iirc, there was a thread awhile back about which NFL division you would pick if you had to live only in those cities. And this one was my winner. Definitely the strongest group, for me.
Now, out of these, I'll take NYC. Thanks. Not much to add really...
