Chicago - Have to give the nod here. Offers A LOT for the money. Really don’t like the level of crime, though.

Detroit - If the economy was better, it would probably be my #1. I love the suburbs and have family members who live in the area.

Minneapolis - A great area in many ways. But with the rioting/looting/violence they've had, I can’t rank them any higher.

Green Bay - Just too small of an area for my taste.

1. Chicago. Born and raised. Don't necessarily have a strong desire to move back, but I still love my hometown.

2. Minneapolis. Lived there for a short stint, and absolutely loved it. One of the fond times of my life. Has its fair share of issues, and winters are rough, but it's still a gem to me.

3. Detroit. Visited here quite often as I went to school in MI. Gets an undue bad rap, is actually a pretty nice town.

4. GB. Hate the Packers, but also just too small of a town. Could maybe find work in my field in Appleton or Oshkosh, but more likely would be Madison or Milwaukee, so why bother.

I chose Detroit since I have family there, but also because it’s finally on the upswing while Chicago (a great city still) seems to be faltering. The Twin Cities look to be doing well also, but the winters and isolation from the rest of the country would be too much for me.
