D.C is more walkable than LA, but LA is still the more urban city. LA > DC > Seattle. Seattle is also more walkable than LA, but LA is vastly the more urban city.

I don't think as an aggregate Seattle is more walkable. It has the nicer, more walkable very-urban area (downtown and surrounding neighborhoods), but Los Angeles has so many more walkable areas in the middle-urban level - there are a few neighborhoods outside of Seattle's core comparable to Hollywood / West Hollywood / East Hollywood, Miracle Mile, DT Beverly Hills, DT Culver City, DT Santa Monica, DT Pasadena, DT Glendale, DT Burbank, Venice, Westwood. And then there are even more innumerable walkable stretches in other less "destination" type neighborhoods like Boyle Heights, Echo Park, Larchmont, Mid City, Pico Robertson, Fairfax, Mar Vista, Sawtelle, Highland Park, Eagle Rock, South Pasadena, Alhambra - and I could go on for 5 more lines stating all of the little walkable areas all over the city/metro.
I guess you could say Seattle's core is more urban than Los Angeles, but outside of a small area the Los Angeles metro is multiple times more urban and walkable than Seattle's is.
DC's core is even more urban than Seattle's is, and it is more urban over a larger area outside the core. It also has way more satellite cities like Los Angeles does, though the suburbs in between contain a lot less of the "walkable stretch" areas that the LA metro does.
With LA and Seattle, I think that their less-walkable areas are still significantly more walkable than DC's Southern-ish extremely low density suburbs.
I agree. Areas like Hollywood is very walkable and very vibrant...I remember visiting LA back in 2012 and walking on Hollywood BLVD thinking to myself how urban and walkable the neighborhood was. Interesting street scene too with some good restaurants. Had great Pizza there. Love LA.
