Crime is a non-issue for a lot of people when talking about DC even though its crime rates are almost identical to Philadelphia's and Chicago's.
DC is often given free passes on this forum.

Sorry but the ''because of Obama'' excuse is misplaced. Chicago was headlines decades before Barry became President. Early '90s Chicago, DC, NYC, LA were all headliners then; some cities like NYC and LA were able to get the murders down, others like Chicago and DC, not so much...better at times, but never to the NYC-LA low levels.

It's the numbers that dominate...600 in Chicago and 407 in Philly today type of headline...I think LA is below 300 and NYC remains historically low despite a large uptick since 2020.

...and DC is the city that is building a permanent Black Lives Matter Plaza...guess the Mayor has her priorities in order even as she shifts responsibility for car jackings on DC residents...lol.

Mayor Bowzer is given a free pass on this forum and in the ''media''....such a hypocrite.

600 for Chicago is about the same as 156 for DC.
