Yeah, this is what I was predicting. There is currently no widespread signs of widespread urban collapse that a lot of people were/are predicting. That’s what makes this different from the late 60s and 70s when the violent crime increase was combined with intense rioting, job loss, white flight, and urban renewal all came together.

It’s not to say I’m not worried, I am very worried, but I’d be surprised if these numbers are apart of a larger decades long trend.

Massive update starting off with New England mid day 10/11/2021 update

Boston, MA 35 homicides with 174 shooting victims

Hartford, CT 29 homicides with 144 shooting victims down from 175 shootings(2020 total homicides was 25)

New Haven, CT 22 with 88 shooting victims(2020 total homicides was 20)
Providence, RI 20 with 62 shooting victims(2020 total homicides was 18)
Bridgeport, CT 17 with 103 shooting victims(2020 total homicides was 24)

Waterbury, CT 10 with 52 shooting victims

Springfield, MA 9 with 58 shooting victims homicides are way down compare same period in 2020(2020 total homicides was 18)

Buffalo, NY 56--This year there have been 56 homicides in city of Buffalo. 65 homicides throughout the entirety of 2020. In 2019 there were only 44 homicides in total.

If you were to combine it with 2015 and 2016, it would look like a longer term increase, save for the decline in 2017-2019, but then it really jumped in 2020 and continued rising in 2021 though nothing like from 2019 to 2020.

Where did you get the info Des Moines is at 10, Des Moines is at 7. One of those have been ruled accidental as well. Are you maybe confusing that bar shooting that killed 3 in Des Moines WA and adding that to Des Moines number?
