Charleston is the best coastal city and Kiawah is the best beach.

Miami wins for having the warmest, clearest water year-round, in conjunction with a vibrant urban area.

Ive Been to most:

1. Florida Keys: Some of the most beautiful sandy, warm beaches
2. Cape Cod/Islands: Some of themost picturesque beaches. My favorite beaches are here. Tie between Welfleet and
Mayflower Beaches. Docks points because its far North and weather is a facot.

3. North Carolina/Outer Banks: Stunning.
4. Maine: Stunning and scenic.

5. Miami Area Beaches: Stunning.
6. Palm Beach Area Beaches: Virtual tie with Palm Beach.
7. Jacksonville Area/Fernandina/Flagler: Alsto stunning.
8. Wilmington Area Beaches: Really pretty.
9. Massachusetts (Non Cape Cod): Really scenic. North shore and Plymouth beaches amazing. Half Moon Bay Beach? Whao.

10. Hilton Head: Really Pretty too. Like a better version of Myrtle Beach.

11. Rhode Island: Totally underrated. Smaller sample size. But like a continuation of Cape Cod.

12. Vero Beach Area Beaches/Melbourne FL: They are nice. Really nice actually.
13. Georgia Beaches: Tybee Island!! and Cumberland Isle State Park. they should be higher...
14. VA Eastern Shore Beaches: Smaller stretch of nice beaches.

15. Myrtle Beach/Grand Stand: They are nice.

16. Daytona Beaches: They are kinda nice in some areas. Daytona is meh, but around Daytona are nice.
17. Jersey Shore: Mediocre. Nothing special. Theres a few nice ones. But nothing out of this world.

18. Virginia Beach: Cool place, but the beach itself is meh.

19. Long Island: I dont find Long Island beaches nice.

20. New Hampshire: The 2-3 beaches here are cool. Nice. But again, how bg is NH's coastline? lol
21. Connecticut: Theres like 2-3 nice beaches but nah. You dont go to CT for beaches.
22. Cocoa Beach/Space Coast: General distaste for this place.

Never been to: Delaware Beaches.

Gotta go way out East to the Hamptons. Some of the most pristine white sand beaches. Coopers Beach and Main Beach are routinely ranked in the top 10 nationally.

Yeah I have friends who lived out there. Not a fan, once you see the beaches of Cape Cod, NC Outer Banks, Florida, etc there's really no contest.

Hamptons Beaches (IMO) are not much different than Jersey beaches. They're nice, some beaches nicer than others, but nothing super special.

The Hamptons in general is so completely overrated (IMO), unless you are an extremely affluent person/family with your enclave on the beach I do not understand the hype...

(Delaware beaches are nice, similar to the Carolinas in parts).

North Carolina. Outer Banks, Wilmington, Grand Strand. The diversity, openness, the influence of the Labrador current (north) and Gulf Stream (south).

Florida for tropical beaches in the southern tier. The Gulf Coast is a giant bathtub.

Maine for the views.

Georgia doesn't have any beaches. One beach does not make a beach state.
