Boston supplies all of Northern New England as well as Massachusetts-thats 11 million people.
Northern NE (including northern Mass.) is actually supplied by Lawrence these days, at least in the heroin/fentanyl trade. If not, directly from CT (Waterbury/Bridgeport) and NYC (Bronx).

Lawrence and Wbury are still safer than Rochester by quite a bit even though they are far more blighted.
Those pics btown posted really don't look bad. Those look like the nice parts of Lawrence or Waterbury.
Buffalo, on the other hand, is way more run down and blighted than anyplace I've seen in NE, unless you cherry pick tiny neighborhoods. Even albany is much more run down than rochester despite being much safer.
Maybe it is the lack of the same scale industrial past that makes Rochester look nicer? Rotting mill buildings in lawrence, waterbury, bridgeport bring down the entire environment, were big sources of pollution and good places to go and shoot up inside of.

You think the folks in Lawrence are allowed to run that market by themselves? Anything that happens in Eastern MA or RI is going through Boston-hence the much higher gun violence in Boston's worst areas or pretty much anywhere in the state...The gangs are more established and have more ties to places all over the country-not just NY. Bostons biggest gang was founded by guys from Detroit as a satellite faction of the "Detroit Young Boys" https://www.universalhub.com/2015/th...e-fall-bostons

Kodak blew up most of its buildings so that might have to do with it.

They traffick from Maine to Georgia..
But when you say "supplies" that usually infers that's where they physical pipeline is going through, when truthfully it bypasses Boston.
Yea I think it goes back to the former industrial presence that makes it look so bad. Some of those like Tenney street are actually decent neighborhoods too.
Lawrence has actually come a long way in terms of livability not just since the 90s but in the last few years aswell. There is probably still a fair bit of unreported crime, but the reported numbers are downright decent. It feels safe walking around downtown and down by the train station. A decent amount of redevelopment has happened on the riverfront building.
However it hasn't reduced the drug trade at all, which is as strong as ever. I would say they do control a big market share of the trade for northern NE. I wouldn't be surprised if some does come through Boston, but the city has a weak connection to Boston overall given its proximity. Culturally it seems more tied to NYC than to Boston. People who 'make it' in Lawrence seem to usually move to NYC
I dunno, I doubt that. Where do you think Boston gets its stuff??
Lawrence, Providence or NYC direct (I would guess that's the top 3). It's at the end of its pipeline, as opposed to a transshipment point. Just too on the radar these days, as opposed to Lawrence or Providence where the police have been very ineffective at dealing with it.

Um, nothing is going from Lawrence to Bosotn. Boston is more connected in that way to Brockton and Providence.
NYC and Providence sure, but no one is going NYC to Lawrence to Boston. Just anecdotally there seems to be way or money on the streets in Boston than anywhere else.
