Rank all of these states based on which you would want to live in the most to the least and give reasons why you would want to live in one of these states over the other. In terms of economy, healthcare, education, etc...

Florida.

Climate is the number one reason. Secondly is culture; I’m a west coast native and something about the Northeast feels foreign to me (please don’t make me elaborate); Florida isn’t quite like Cali, but it’s one of the few states left for someone to take on their own terms, which is why Florida is one of the few east coast states on my top ten list of states I’d live in. I guess I’m most at home in sunbelty kind of suburbs. Third, I’m comforted by palm trees.

How I would rank them:
1. Massachusetts- The highest quality of life, best education, best healthcare, lots to do. Best beaches in the Northeast. Boston. Drawbacks include insane COL and it can be a bore.

2. New Jersey- Reminds me a lot of a less polished MA. Decent beaches, lots to do too. Good food, great suburbs. I like it, its a notch down from MA for me.

3. Maryland- I could do MD. Not a bad place. Great schools, lacks excitement though. Solid state though.

4. New York- I like NY. I lived here for a while. Would 110% live in Hudson Valley+Westchester+parts of NYC, and the Capital Region. I like Upstate. Can't stand Long Island. NYC is good to visit. NY to live? Nah.

5. Pennsylvania- Pittsburgh + Philly Suburbs are a big yes. I like PA. Good Schools and there's a good amount to do here. Near a lot of great attractions.

6. Connecticut- Why live in CT when you can live in nearby NY, MA or NJ? There are parts I like, but parts I dont.

7. Florida- Big Gap. Not a fan.

Education
1. Massachusetts
2. New Jersey
3. Connecticut
4. Maryland
5. New York
6. Pennsylvania
7. Florida

Healthcare
1. Massachusetts
2. Connecticut
3. New Jersey
4. Maryland
5. New York
6. Pennsylvania
7. Florida

Economy
1. Florida
2. Massachusetts
3. Maryland
4. Pennsylvania?
5. New York?
6. New Jersey?
7. Connecticut

Biggest Pros and Cons of Each:
1. Massachusetts
Pro: Top in quality of services and amenities. Cannot beat it.
Con: Insane Cost of Living that might not actually be worth living here.

2. New Jersey
Pro: Best balanced quality of life, amenities and fun. Lots to do.
Con: Not the best-looking towns and cities. The urban environment, highways, infrastructure are outdated and ugly and just congested.

3. Connecticut
Pro: Centrally located with great schools.
Con: Boring. Like very boring. Like boring boring.

4. New York
Pro: You have access to NYC, Mountains, and Beaches, all while being in between major cities and states.
Con: Extremely Segregated and people are arrogant and think NY is the best at everything when it usually ranks 15-30 for literally everything. Odd.

5. Pennsylvania
Pro: Two big cities on each end, both with high purchasing power.
Con: A good chunk of PA is dreary and dull.

6. Maryland
Pro: Picturesque towns. A lot of MD suburbs are really nice and high quality. Generally impressed.
Con: I like MD, but I dont click with it. idk, the vibe is off.

7. Florida
Pro: The weather and suburbia if you are into that.
Con: Low-paying jobs and are a mark below the states above for education and healthcare.

1. NJ- Extreme balance between high earners, diveristy, density, picturesque subrbs, so much variety in price point, best location, lots of culture and high energy. Love Jersey. Too many police/too strict, overly ugly in some areas, taxes.

1a. MA The culture/character of MA is bar none. Amazing economy, food, amenities and services. Martha's Vinyard, Berkshires, Skiing, Boston-just a lot of fun getaways. Legal weed is a plus for me. Just priced too high and a bit too boring and cold.

2. FL Just loads of fun to be had in FL for great prices. Can't beat the sunshine and the energy of the state. Love me some Orlando!

3. MD Not as expensive as NJ or MA. Great weather, Love how they have fun in Maryland though! Ocean City, Fells Point, Apple picking....love it. Love the black middle class having a home there. Lacks for character, traffic is annoying, not a huge fan of the people a little flaky and not friendly.

4. CT So manageable, relatively affordable, polite people, good location, homey, diverse, amazing air quality and upkeep of towns (minus the cities). Good services. Very boring and very segregated. High taxes and weak economy. I like that its decentralized though.

5. NY NYC great, amazing even. NY not great, too much like PA.

6. PA Phlly and Pittsburgh themselves are great. Dislike almost anything else I've ever seen in PA.

For education, healthcare, quality of life, quality of services and variety of things to do (Mountains, Beaches, Cities, Parks, Ocean, Bay, Lakes, Skii, Day Trips, etc), FL pales to MA NJ CT MD. Maybe more on par with NY or PA, however.

Less variety of things to do....yet Florida is still the most fun state on this list....

Yet somehow Florida will have a higher population than all of those states combined sooner than you think. Not to mention any tourism comparison is laughable. Pales is a rather strong word wouldn't ya say?

I feel like if Massachusetts had 19 million people it’s be rather unpleasant.

Plus most of Florida migration is people who used all of Massachusetts’s, New Jersey’s etc Public Amenities And then defused they didn’t want to pay for them when they didn’t need them anymore
