^^Yes, 5 over 1 woodframe is becoming more commonplace,
w/ modern firestopping in construction.
It was essentially "invented" in Los Angeles, yet didn't really catch fire (no pun intended) here until the last 10 years. It's a worldwide phenomenon, or plague depending on your opinion, because I see them all over websites that feature photos of construction from various cities.

I thought it was invented by Gerhard Schickhofer, from Austria, or rather the method. CLT.
Most DC buildings are taller than other cities throughout the city so they will still require a crane. I've always thought it was ironic that the city without skyscrapers builds taller buildings on average than just about every city across the country outside of the downtown area. The biggest difference between DC and other cities is residential neighborhood construction. That's probably why the litigation battles are so fierce in DC. The shadows on houses are inevitable. There is nowhere to build but up.
They still have America's three largest cities (NYC, LA, CHI), a lot of America's booming big cities (SF, BOS, SEA, DC), some fast growing US Cities for reference (PHX, LAS) and then the one and only Toronto... I think it hits the main 8 I would want to see on there (NYC, LA, CHI, SF, DC, BOS, TOR, SEA) but I also would like to see Miami, Philadelphia, Austin, Nashville and Charlotte. It just needs more depth.
THey should also include nearby cities like Arlington VA and Cambridge MA.. both of which have a crazy amount of crane action and could add about 15-20 cranes to their respective cities.. or just throw them off separately.
Houston ,Dallas and Atlanta would be in the "main list" as Miami,Boston, DC are smaller than Houston and Dallas and Miami and Atlanta are neck and neck with Miami being slightly larger
A nice view of the rapidly growing Toronto skyline
Miami catching up to Toronto
