I voted Miami cause I don’t do humidity, but yeah, we’re all different.
I’m just thankful to be more in the Milwaukee region because hot is hot indeed.
I voted Las Vegas because it gets over 100 degrees Fahrenheit regularly. All time high was 117 F. That's crazy hot.
I was in California a couple years ago and one area I was at got to 110f and while hot it didn't feel as nearly as bad as the heat in Florida due to humidity.
As someone who grew up in Florida, and worked outside in Miami for a couple of summers, I'll take Vegas' heat any day of the week.
Sure, Miami's heat can be more tolerable if you're right on the beach. And, the storms are nice. But honestly, being outside is far less pleasant on average. One thing not taken into account is that Miami stays hot even at night, and it gets much soupier.
I lived a good portion of my life in Orlando, which is worse. Afternoon highs are often much higher, and there's no sea breeze.
Having lived in both cities I can certainly vouch for that. At least in Miami the afternoon thunderstorms drops the temps by 10 to 15 degrees. I don't know how people go to Disney World or the other parks in Orlando in the middle of August there.
On another note Miami has never had a recorded temperature above 99F degrees in it's history.
Vegas...if you live along the bay or ocean in Miami you get nice sea breezes most days, passing afternoon thunderstorms provide relief, and I’ve never gotten painful dehydration headaches in Miami but have from the dryness in Vegas (heck, my cigars start unraveling in less than a minute).
Thunderstorms don't provide relief in Miami, they just make it steamier, more sultry, and more oppressive and humid.
I chose Miami because it's right next to the ocean it's real easy to beat the heat. Seems like the only way to beat the heat in Las Vegas is to stay in the air conditioned casinos.
