I chose Miami because it's right next to the ocean it's real easy to beat the heat. Seems like the only way to beat the heat in Las Vegas is to stay in the air conditioned casinos.
Really?
I’ve only been to Miami/South Florida in the fall so I can’t comment fully on the summer at the beach, but I have been to Coco Beach during the summer and you don’t escape the heat being on the water.
The only time I’ve sweated while surfing and sitting on the beach occurred in Florida. To make matters worse, the fine sand along with the breeze (that doesn’t give relief) caused it to always stick to you.
I’ve been to Vegas plenty in the summers, and it sucks, but I’ll still take it over Florida. Especially at night, which by the way really isn’t debatable.
Miami may have some of the most pleasant summer weather east of the Mississippi. Every city east of the Mississippi gets hits 100+ and humid. Meanwhile, Miami's highest recorded temp is 100, with daily storms to cool it off. Vegas is just hot and dry.

I'd say that they are about even.
Not at all? Maybe east of the Mississippi below a certain latitude? I’ll take a Midwest or Northeast summer any day over one in Florida.

Do your research. As a matter of fact, name a major city that has NOT experienced temps over 100F. Miami hasn't experienced temps at or above 100F in 80 years. Tampa FL. Is the only major city that has never been at or over 100F.
The hyperdramatics west coasters have toward humidity is hilarious. The west coast is burning nearly every year but you're worried about humidity. Lol. Babe, there's world class beaches less than 15 minutes from downtown Miami. Because of the humidity, the air is clean. Plant life is vibrant and green. There's beautiful palm trees everywhere. It's like island living. Vegas summers are dirty, dusty, and brown.

This !! (just like a light drizzle out west is the lead news story with a headline "storm watch"...lol)
Miamians deal with the summer, we actually get to enjoy more of the city to ourselves with fewer tourists, there is a great 2 month promotion called "Miami Spice" at top restaurants, evenings are great (mid to high 70's with some nights offering spectacular lightning shows out at sea, i.e. natural fireworks) and it is not uncommon to take a vacation or two during this time (I imagine Vegans--is that what you call them?--do the same) the way Northeasterners and others do during winter...yes, we will sweat more but my deodorant works fine and our beautiful women age better because of humidity.
Interesting results yielding a dead heat (no pun intended) thus far....I would suspect most West of the Mississippi voted Miami and those East of the Mississippi voted Vegas.

There's this thing called averages, and not "every city east of the Mississippi" has worse summer weather on average than Miami.
