So Portland (Oregon) makes the country's best pizza according to these authors. Thoughts??

Doubt it, though Apizza Scholls (as I’ve mentioned in other posts) and Ken’s Artisan are very good.

New Haven is still the best I've had. Tbh, I don't think I've had bad pizza in CT(grew up there) and also lived in NYC for 12+ years. NYC has good pizza but I've never had anything that was on New Haven's level. Last time I went to Frank Pepes there were a bunch of people who drove from NYC just for the pizza. But now I'm gonna have to make the 1.5hr drive to Portland and try it there to see.

Lol Portland has an outstanding food scene, but pizza (and Italian in general) is one of the areas that most Portlanders agree is its weak spot. This article is baffling.

Not sure about Italian…I love Caffe Mingo, Nostrana and Serrato and a few others I cannot name off the top of my head…Chinese food maybe, not Italian.

I haven't really explored the Italian food scene yet and I've heard great things about Nostrana. I'm just basing this off of what I've heard from others that have been in the area much longer then me.
