LA over the Bay? I'd say San Jose has an edge over LA because of a large number of Asian(I'll count Indian as well) Google/Techies and businesses that cater to them.

My ranking

1.SF
2. SJ
3. LA
4. Irvine
5. Seattle
6. NYC
7. SD
8. Houston
9. NoVA
10. Oakland

Honolulu
SF-Oakland
SJ
LA-Long Beach
Seattle
NYC
St. Paul

Honolulu is the one Asian majority principal city/county and almost entirely occupied by East/Southeast Asians at that. It should be in any list as a top 3-5 on that basis alone. San Francisco is an obvious runner up if not tied as edging out Honolulu. California as a whole could be considered a mecca, with the cities filling the rest of the top 10. However, Seattle, NYC, and St. Paul have very noticeable East/Southeast Asian communities. St. Paul's diaspora is very much dominated by the Hmong, but that is such a unique population that I decided to include it somewhere on the list anyway.

Why is DC so high. Boston feels and I think is more East Asian than DC.

Dallas, Chicago, and Houston above Boston? The Boston metro has far more Chinese residents than any of those cities; more even than Seattle by raw number at the least. It's also the second most Cambodian area in the country after LA. Fewer Vietnamese than the Texas cities (if not Chicago), but still a large and well-established enclave there too.

The original poster specifically said East Asian. India is a part of South Asia.

you serious right now?

East Asia is the eastern region of Asia, which is defined in both geographical and ethnocultural terms. The modern states of East Asia include China, Japan, Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea, and Taiwan THe population of East Asia is 1.6 Bilion- 1.3 Billion of whom are Chinese.

And a Taiwanese immigrant is ltied for first in the Boston mayoral race. Be real for 5 minutes. You admit you have never been to Boston and dont know much about it and always always underestimate Bosotn in all of these polls-I've called you out on this at least 2 times. Now is the 3rd

How you don't see your own pattern is annoying, too say the least. The cocky tone is cringeworthy yet slightly amusing. Considering you pretend to want to know more but totally dont want to challenge your own line of thinking. Good day.
