And the funny coincidence is that the Austin metro is around the same population the Dallas metro was back then.

In Charlotte, most of the projects aren't publicized until they are literally almost ready to start construction. Apparently, there are than there are many more 30/40+ story towers planned in the SouthEnd area.
Yes SouthEnd is exploding...

I didn’t know that. Now it makes even more sense.

Basically, South End will be Charlotte’s version of Uptown Dallas or Midtown Atlanta? I can see it becoming that due to its adjacency to Uptown Charlotte. I did a search of South End and this is what I found. It looks like a good amount of construction is happening.

Yes, and Charlotte's skyline is becoming very linear, like Atlanta.

Currently, SouthEnd has 2 buildings above 300 ft. By 2025, SouthEnd should have 11-12 buildings above 300 ft and more large scale projects are coming to the area in the future.

(400+) Carson SouthEnd:: https://www.carsontryon.com/

^These two projects especially will help connect the SouthEnd area to Uptown Charlotte.

Charlotte is looking super impressive--and the growth is amazing. I think Charlotte is headed in the right direction, and their rail system will only help density and skyscraper growth.

Really cool to watch the city grow super fast.

This list is ridiculously impressive! If 50% get built that is still incredibly booming, and any city would love to have a fraction of Austin's construction.

Nashville has 14-15 skyscrapers approved, proposed or under construction, over 400 feet high. Then there's another 25-30 over 300 feet high.

Pretty brisk proposals in the pipeline for both cities. Although Austin is clearly way in the lead.

Any sites not U/C should not even be considered for discussion. It's all fantasy, especially, given WFH's impact and global economic issues.

That’s fair. I’m not even sure if everything that’s planned in Dallas will actually happen.

The first pic is a picture of the planned project in Uptown Dallas (much of this was previously post in other threads)

The video is a flyover with a partial view of Uptown.

First pic (@ 2:19) is the excavation of the 23Springs (399 ft) site and Harwood No. 14 (388 ft) being clearly visible too.

The cleared lot next to 23Springs is the location of 2811 Maple (372 ft), which hasn’t officially started construction. The 2nd pic (@ 2:23) is the Maple Terrace development (240 ft) which is now a few floors above ground.

This is a picture of what I was trying to find on the internet but end up using the video instead. I took this one myself today because I couldn’t find a recent picture of all the 300+ ft towers added to the skyline. The high-rise U/C in the Uptown area is Harwood No. 14 (388 ft).
