Ah got you. But regardless, they occupied the entire 2 buildings. They could have used that for their “headquarters space”. The Chevron Complex in Houston has a lot more space than San Ramon where the headquarters is listed. The Houston expansion was made regardless of it not being the listed headquarters.
Then you can see Austin’s Google complex. And Oracle’s Nashville complex. People hype up office expansions to be “the next big California relocation” and it’s usually not true. But it also doesn’t matter. The biggest addition is the employment it brings not having a city listed as the headquarters. Sure, it has its benefits as well but it’s not what it used to be either.
Anyway, I agree on the “Project Falcon” putting out Chevron vibes. They’ve been saying Wells Fargo is due to move to Charlotte for years now another source is hyping a DFW exit.
