So, quite a few pro DC comments yet Houston is actually winning.
Yeah true Gaylord, it’s hard to compare places anymore every place has its goods and not so goods and you can have any life you want to have it’s just what you prefer, nothing more nothing less.
I love Houston for the diversity and food. I couldn't handle living there due to the extreme humidity, flooding and Hurricanes. D.C. is no slouch when it comes to humidity either though.. ..I would still probably choose D.C. over Houston though. Houston is great though. No slight against it.

Yep. Lots of great things about Houston, but I'd pick DC.
I'm from Houston and lived in D.C. for over three years, D.C. is the capital of a first world country. Its hard to compete against that in general, just like in the UK, Germany, Italy, Japan or France. The COL in D.C. is prohibitive for many. D.C. has many pluses including museums, event centers, dining and diversity. D.C. summers can be hot and humid like Houston but not as long. But Houston has all of that too and actually ranks higher for diversity than D.C. In a photo finish, I'll take D.C. because of its capital cache'.
This vote is competitive, unlike any where Atlanta shows up as an option lol.
Atlanta usually ends up like the Falcons in the Superbowl, lol. Anyhow I choose DC in this one.
