Culture: Houston personally but this one is close
Public School Systems (for those with children): Houston
Economy: Houston
Food: Houston. There’s few things Vegas leads Houston in and the gap isn’t huge where it does
Cost of living: Houston
Crime: neither are safe
Infrastructure/transportation: Vegas
Urbanity: Houston
Desirable suburbs: Houston
Climate: Vegas
O_o how does Vegas beat Houston in Infrastructure/Transportation?
Houston has been hit several times by Hurricanes. But it recedes better than Louisiana because its not below sea level and its built on more solid ground. Houston is 6 hours from New Orleans, which I believe is farther than Vegas is to L.A. That 110 degree heat in Vegas is oh so attractive...not.
Being so close to LA and Phoenix what drivers are there in LV to sustain growth to a major city? What set Vegas apart from Phoenix? Phoenix already had the critical mass and the airport hub. If I was in charge of a major company, what would seal the deal for Vegas over Phoenix?
Nevada has better tax code (no state income tax, no business taxes, etc.) and business laws than CA or AZ.
