I'd rather be on the strip than south each. For me it's not too cold to be out in Vegas and Miami is too humid/rainy. Both are fun but I prefer Vegas. Just more... and I enjoy the scenery in Vegas but not as much as Miami when you're on the water.
Of course it is. Houston is so much bigger and established metro. But flip the switch and compare the two based on entertainment and Houston has got to be the worst big city for tourists. Have family there and everytime we visit more than a couple days we get bored and the family recommends we go to Kemah/Galveston, San Antonio, New Orleans. No boredom when we visit Vegas. Since this is so one sided I did not bother vote, and this is coming from someone who does not care for either city.

I can do day parties, rooftop parties, magic shows, concerts, 5 star restaurants, Mickey mouse and Spider-man fighting each other, and a boxing match all on the strip. You can't do that on South Beach.
South Beach > The Strip any day of the week.
First of all, South Beach has some of these things. Second of all, South Beach has lots of things the strip doesn’t. The Strip doesn’t have miles of sandy beaches, pool parties, and top notch Latin American and Italian food.

The strip has plenty pool parties, well all of LV does... Las Vegas doesn't have top notch Latin American and Italian food???? It's like the most Italian place outwest and has plenty Latin Americans and authentic food. It depend on what's “top noch” though but there's great dining to be had in LV of course. That's for certain.
Our family has been in Houston since the 20s and I've been visiting there since I was a boy in the 60's, so I doubt that.
This strengthens my point
