Yeah, that old tired video mocking Cleveland played a zillion times. Ha ha, real funny.
I used to find that video funny, but it got old after a lot of times seeing it. When I first saw it I found it funny, but over time it started to lose its appeal and humor to me IMO.
Anyway, I think Pittsburgh is probably a little bit more known. Although Cleveland has some cool things as well, i.e. the A Christmas Story house, and some good neighborhoods and good local restaurants there that to me sometimes are underrated. I.e. Sokolowski's University Inn, and more I'm forgetting. And West Side Market is really cool, as well!
Um. Pittsburgh is by no means in the same tier as San Francisco when it comes to television and film. It is, however, ahead of Cleveland on that front, in my humble opinion.
Are they still doing lots of location shooting there since the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania dialed back the tax credit for location shooting?
I do recall that when navigating Philadelphia's streets became a challenge because you had to dodge all the film crews, the company that provided the mobile dressing rooms and crew trailers was located in Pittsburgh or somewhere in its area code (412).
Always kind of amazing how these types of conversations go. Cleveland and Pittsburgh are very comparable places, and naitonally occupy about the same space. Depending on what you're into, you may view one slightly above the other. In general pop culture terms, at least in this century, I do think Cleveland has more recognition than Pittsburgh. This is mostly because of Lebron James. The Lebron sign downtown became something of a nationally recognized tourist attraction for a long time. But anyway, I really love the part of the country from Cleveland through the Mahoning Valley into Pittsburgh. I think it's some of the realest people in the world.
