Philly now has 300, only 4 fewer than where it was last year. It's been rough week or two, as I can remember there being around 25-30 homicide deficit just before.

It's the heat. Before the recent weeks, it's been a moderate summer.

Wow, it's really closing the gap. Also NYC's deficit is only in the low teens from the latest update on here. Not sure about Chicago's spread but I hear it's summer months are better than the last two years.

A 35 y/o woman was killed by her husband in Newport News, she disappeared after leaving a Sunday service at her church prematurely. The husband was arrested at Dulles airport, on his way to Jamaica. Her body has yet to be found. That brings them to 14 for the year. Catching up to its little brother Hampton's total of 15.

We're actually down 30 shootings this time of month compared to last year's July. Kinda crazy when you think about it.

Just insane that Baltimore City only has ~40 murders less than the entire NYC, with 14 times less people.
That is a disgusting statistic.

At 353 currently, Chicago is down quite a bit compared to last year as of 07/19, which was at 415 homicides. It down to the point that Philly has had as many homicides this month.

That is high actually considering East St. Louis's population is only 18.469. A homicide rate of 54 so far this year.
