Easily Boston. No contest.

Then LA

Forgot about 1950’s/1960’s NY, with 13*:

Yankees: 8
Dodgers: 1 (Brooklyn)
Giants: 1 (NY)
Football Giants: 1
Mets: 1
Jets: 1

NY 1950’s/60’s 13 (7 teams) > Boston 2000/2010’s 12 and NY 1980’s/1990’s 12 > LA’s 10 (2000-2020)

* technically, if you are going to count 2020—instead of only 2000’s/2010’s— for LA as part of their 10 championships then add 1969-1970 Knicks for 1950-1970 which increases NY’s total to 14 for that period. If not, then LA’s highest total is 8 (taking out Lakers/Dodgers 2020).

Too lazy to look, but has any city ever had that many in a 20-year span? I know the Lakers/Celtics both had some runs in the 60's & 70's, and the Yankees have had many runs over the years, but still don't think that compares to Boston in the 2000's.
Yeah Boston’s is easily the championship city of the century. I was seeing if they had an equivalent 1-2 year span but the 07-09 looks like it. Ironically only the Patriots missed out (but still made the super bowl). Only to face their cryptonite which is the New York Giants.

What’s a Comet? I had to Google to learn that used to be a WNBA team.

Actually since 2000, the LA area also has 12 (with 6 teams, but still):
Lakers 6
Kings 2
Dodgers 1
Rams 1
Angels 1
Ducks 1

Not sure post limited championships/cities to since 2000…if not, as I suspect, and if we are going to increase the parameters to 22 years—as we have for LA, then add yet another one for NY from 1949 (Yankees) which brings its total up to 15 for the 1949-1970 period…LA has 7 area teams when you include the Clippers; 8 if you include Chargers now, though only since 2017.

You really need to put an * next to the Dodgers World Series win seeing it was a 60 game season.

The Lakers title could use one too. While they played a full season, the playoffs resembled pickup games in a high school gym.

That’s 22 years. The Celtics had 13 NBA championships from 1957 to 1976. The Bruins added 2 Stanley Cup wins in that time period.

I could also add 13 for the Yankees from 1932-1953, 2 each from the Rangers and NY football Giants and 1 for the baseball Giants for a total of 18 during that period.
