Personally, my skyline rankings would go like this, in 2023, with Brooklyn and Queens in the mix:

1) NYC (Manhattan)
2) Chicago
3) Seattle
4) Miami
5) San Francisco
6) Houston
7) Philadelphia
8) Brooklyn
9) Los Angeles
10) Pittsburgh

11) Boston
12) Minneapolis
13) Dallas
14) Denver
15) Queens
16) Jersey City
17) Charlotte
18) Austin
19) San Diego
20) Honolulu

21) Atlanta
22) Nashville
23) Cleveland
24) Portland, OR
25) New Orleans
Brooklyn does have a pretty impressive skyline. The density surrounding it is remarkable and definitely helps its case.
I like your list as far as personal skyline rankings go but having Atlanta only ranked two spots above Cleveland? Ouch lol

As someone who grew up in Brooklyn and whose relatives still live there, I have been amazed by how the Brooklyn skyline has developed over the years.

I imagine current downtown newark is what downtown Brooklyn looked like 20 years ago.

That's clearly a big-city skyline.
Unfortunately that pic is already outdated again. More towers went up in Brooklyn.
Will have to wait for this summer again to see more updated shots of the skyline.
Queens skyline is starting to look formidable as well.
Unfortunately, most people are focused on Manhattan when taking pics of NYC skyline, so a lot of Brooklyn and Queens pics are like 5 years old.

Yeah, I guess I was a bit harsh on Atlanta LOL...I do love Atlanta, I lived there for a few years.

But I was back there this December and I was reminded that the downtown skyline was not that dense, and needs some major skyscraper construction to happen soon, and add another 6-8 towers or more.

Combined with midtown, I suppose Atlanta would go up to roughly 15th or so for me, but just downtown is not all that impressive.

Yeah, exactly. Brooklyn has 3 or 4 skyscrapers under construction now downtown - from what I can tell. And many more that are proposed and should start soon.

As for Queens, it has its new tallest under construction that will be 811 feet high. Queens has almost 40 skyscrapers now over 300 feet, besting the vast majority of large US city skylines.
