Which of these cities is the friendliest and has very nice and down to earth people? Which of these cities has less snobby people? Overall, which of these cities is the friendliest?
Phoenix, AZ vs. San Francisco, CA vs. Los Angeles, CA vs. Dallas, TX vs. Tucson, AZ vs. Allentown, PA
Phoenix but none of these cities gold a candle to most cities in the South. Although with migration the,South is being affected by those who are coming from more impersonal areas.
From my travels, I associate Phoenix with strong passive-aggressiveness, which can be "nice" but not actually friendly. It may be worse during snowbird season.

Interesting you would say "during snowbird season." When I lived in Phoenix for several years, people would comment how arrogant some Canadians were. I never had any experience with that, but then I ran into fewer Canadians than those from other states like Illinois, Montana, Minnesota, etc.
As for passive aggressive, I could always tell it was snowbird season by the extra amount of dog poop on the golf course walkways. Apparently a lot of snowbirds believe it isn't their obligation to pick up after their dogs. As soon as snowbird season was over, the amount of dog poop would decease.
That being said, snowbirds can be friendly while out walking, etc.
I don't see Phoenix as being passive aggressive. More like impersonal, especially compared to the South.
SF is by far the least friendly, but that's mostly because the people there are much cooler than you.
Yep. Worse than most of the Northeast. Incredibly competitive, everyone is out to make "FU" money and aren't happy with just being rich. They have to be richer and feel smarter.
