I’d argue Tampa is less bad than Miami. In the mornings it’s usually around 75f where I’m at in Tampa, whereas Miami often stays in the 80s and sometimes mid 80s overnight. Both are bad no doubt, but mornings are a bit better in Tampa.

Why is CA out? There cities have by far the best summer conditions.

Nashville due to its hilly and forested topography and its location is above the 36th parallel (lattitude) or northern terminus of the Sun Belt. Honestly, none of these cities are enjoyable in the summer months (daytime).

Abuquerque is not on your list (it should be)...

ABQ has the most tolerable summer and you can make it even more
tolerable by living east of Tramway Blvd...elevations are highest and
temps are coolest ...average summer highs in the 80s ...relatively low humidity too.

If Albuquerque were included, then it would easily be that city. Dry like Phoenix but only gets above 100 an average of 2-3 days a year.

I think it's Flagstaff, Arizona-it's actually quite nice in summer.

Because that's obvious.

Abuquerque in the summer is much nicer than anywhere in Texas or the Southeast.

I'd agree if Albuquerque or Flagstaff were on the list they would be the most tolerable sunbelt summers outside of areas right along the coast of California.
The steady, relentless nature of Phoenix or Miami might make it easier to get acclimated.... I guess. Florida at least has beaches to compensate, Phoenix has... Flagstaff.
The rest are similar to places I'm all too familiar with. Places like those have few redeeming qualities weather-wise.

Albuquerque in the summer is incredibly tolerable. 5000 feet elevation downtown and over 6000 in the northeast heights.
