New England with 6. Forbes is very New York-centric so five summer house spots.

I had to look up Miami's choice on the list and it turns out NAOE is a Japanese restaurant. Considering that Miami is well known for its Caribbean and South American cuisine they choose a Japanese restaurant instead?

NAOE is a high end and very good Omakase restaurant and consistently ranked as one of the best Japanese restaurants in the country (limited seating); not cheap either—will run you about $350/ person. Miami has a small Asian population but the Asian restaurants here punch above their weight (Hutong, Itamae, Uchi, KYU, Phuc Yea, Makoto, Hiden, Blue Ribbon, Azabu, Cote among quite a few).

Just to clarify the way 5 of the 6 New England entries were listed:

Cape Cod(MA)-Twenty-Eight Atlantic - actually Nantucket
Coastal Maine-The White Barn Inn Restaurant - Kennebunkport
Rhode Island-Cara - Newport
Rhode Island-Coast - Watch Hill
The Berkshires, MA-The Portico - Lenox

Well, that confirms my suspicion that the Forbes list tilts towards resort/vacation/tourist destinations.

Err. Twenty-Eight Atlantic is on the Cape. It's in that little slice of Harwich between Chatham and Orleans. My Killington next door neighbors owned a house in Chatham 1/2 mile south of it until he died a couple of years ago.

Not sure if this is trolling Chicago's food is solid, but I've got another list coming up.
