Hard to believe Madison Square Garden, Citi Field and/or Yankee Stadium (though I’m not the biggest fan of the new ballpark) did not make the top 25 (top 28?)…I went to a Rangers game the other week and it is a great venue, with great concessions and an electric vibe.

Also, Petco Park in San Diego is a very nice venue and should rank higher than 47.

No fkn way SoFi Stadium is #121. (Allegiant is even lower).

I’m not familiar with PNK Stadium in Ft Lauderdale, ranked 17.

I’m surprised MSG is as high as it is. I know it’s Penn Station that takes the brunt of the criticism, but MSG always seems one step ahead of the executioner.

I live 4 blocks from Petco Park. I love it to the moon and back, but Camden is damn near perfect park.

Which brings my next point: if only Baltimore could demo/redevelop that stupid Hilton Hotel that blocks vistas of historic Downtown.

The actual rankings, according to the article:

1 Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI (the Green Bay Packers are the only municipally-owned NFL team)*
2 (tie) PNC Park, Pittsburgh, PA
2 (tie) Camden Yards, Baltimore, MD
4 Children's Mercy Park, Kansas City, KS (the only major-league sports facility not located in the Missouri city)***
5 Busch Stadium, St Louis, MO

6 (tie) Wrigley Field, Chicago, IL
6 (tie) Oracle Park, San Francisco, CA
6 (tie) American Family Field, Milwaukee, WI
6 (tie) Progressive Field, Cleveland, OH
10 Target Field, Minneapolis, MN

11 (tie) Amway Center, Orlando, FL**
11 (tie) Lumen Field, Seattle, WA
11 (tie) T-Mobile Park, Seattle, WA
11 (tie) Great American Ballpark, Cincinnati, OH
15 Fenway Park, Boston, MA

16 Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA*
17 DRV PNK Stadium, Ft Lauderdale, FL***
18 Climate Pledge Arena, Seattle, WA**
19 (tie) Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN*
19 (tie) United Center, Chicago, IL**

19 (tie) Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, TN**
19 (tie) Coors Field, Denver, CO
19 (tie) Amalie Arena, Tampa, FL**
19 (tie) PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh, PA**
19 (tie) Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, PA

19 (tie) Paycom Center, Oklahoma City, OK**
19 (tie) Saputo Stadium, Montréal, QC***

* NFL stadium
** indoor arena housing an NBA team, an NHL team, or both
*** MLS (soccer) stadium

Note how baseball parks dominate the top 10 and top 15. One NFL stadium and one MLS stadium are the only exceptions in the top 10, and there's an NBA arena in the next five.

Football may be the most-watched spectator sport in the country, but it seems the stadiums pro football teams play in aren't that beloved by fans, while the ballparks are.

And Camden Yards — the ballpark that sparked the city ballpark revival — still deserves its high honor. I note that both it and #2 PNC Park both have fabulous backdrops behind their outfields (the Pittsburgh skyline in PNC's case and that freight warehouse in Camden Yards'). Had one of the proposals to build a new Phillies ballpark on Center City Philadelphia's edge succeeded (both proposals died in a buzzsaw of opposition), I would wager Citizens Bank Park would rank higher than tied for 19th.

There's actually a stadium that ranks lower than the Oakland coliseum? Yikes.

What is the experience in Truist Park in Georgia. I've heard good things about The Battery not too much rave about the stadium.
