Apart from the cost of living, it's hard to argue that Boston's not infinitely better in 2022 than it was in 1992. It's grown drastically. A few, but not all notable screen grabs from Streetview below. Boylston, North Station, Cambridge Crossing, Kendall, Longwood, etc. have all either come from nothing or grown out a lot more too:
