It's a really dumb list without a lot of rigor or methodology it appears. It's a list to promote travel. There's even a Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum on the list. Why not the World's Largest Ball of Twine museum.
I agree that KC's National WW1 Museum definitely deserves a spot.
Why not indeed? Let's show Cawker City, Kan., some love too.
I was halfway expecting this one to make the list, given the amount of coverage it's gotten since it opened a few years ago. I hope to experience it, as well as this one located in its northern neighbor's state capital, sooner rather than later.

The latter one is in Nashville, no less.
Frankly, IMO, if it was going to be in a city in Tennessee, it should have been in Memphis. Nashville really didn't have the kind of purchase on R&B that Memphis did with Stax Records.
But I must say that the museum's use of the title of Funkadelic's biggest hit for its promotional motto is so obvious it hurts. But I was glad to see it there anyway. I assume George Clinton got royalties for it.
This is the crappiest list I've ever seen. So the Cleveland Museum of Art is not in the top 100? In fact no Cleveland museums at all? But NYC has over 10 on the list. Geez.
Blasphemy!!! This list was created based on user submitted rankings of US museums to an online chat site (kinda like this one) based in Amsterdam.
I don't know how much more reputable can you get than stoned internet contributors to an Amsterdam based website. You should applaud their efforts thatthey got to 100 before getting stuck... if you know what I mean

Cleveland’s Art Museum is pretty nice, I was in attendance to a wedding there once.

The Cleveland Museum of Art is, imho, one of top 20 museums (if not top 10) in the U.S. And I consider myself an art snob.
When Madame Trussardi was on the list you know you can’t take the it seriously.-like cheesy celebrities’ wax statues would truly broaden anyone’s artistic repertoire and enhance one’s intellectual reasoning.
Several notable museums missing from the list, IMO::
The Getty Villa, Malibu
Oakland Museum of California, Oakland
Norton Simon Museum, Pasadena
The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens, San Marino
Computer History Museum, Mountain View
Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles
No Isabella Gardner Museum? I feel like that is the 2-3 best museum in Boston.
This. And the MFA being lowest of the city’s museums on the list is wild.
