I would add Seaquarium, Venetian Pool and Wynwood Walls (during the day).

Loews South Beach is a great hotel for families.

I'd say Miami's ahead in all of the listed categories except for career opportunities, but I'd never choose to live there over Denver - cause of quality of life etc

This is my take, too. I personally don't think Miami's climate is amazeballs. Hot and humid for 6 months, not as hot but still humid AF the other 6 months. The ocean has never been a draw for me so living on a swampy, gator-infested sandbar barely above sea level has zero appeal to me. The political climate of FL leaves a lot to be desired as well.
