Are we sure that guy in May actually died? Maybe the pivot to “life threatening injuries” is because they were able to resuscitate?
No pulse, Confirmed Dead On Arrival. That's what came over the scanner.
I doubt he was resuscitated... in part because there was no mention of that in the Globe article or NBC Boston article. Not like anyone would get into that level of detail though. Given the timing regading events at Mass N Cass it seems more likely the story was obfuscated or stepped on.... no arrest was made, no details were ever given. And its not like the covered the Baby's death either.
Every year theres a couple murders that seem to get buried or not reported on at all.

Baltimore at 147 (141*). 3 homicides (including a quadruple shootings where two were killed) on Saturday alone but otherwise zero homicide from 7/4 until 7/8.
Homicides do seem to comes in wave...numbers are still down from previous years, and hopefully that continues.

That waves part is a new pattern it used to be daily. Hopefully its an indicator of a trend change

Yep...meanwhile things in DC seems to be more daily nowaday. Seems to have more random factor at times also (Yes, that CUA homicide is probably somewhat an outliers, but carjackings AFAIK are also up).
92 in Cleveland through June. On pace to surpass last year's total of 168.
