Sigh.

You mention one area of the city that has a particularly high murder rate against an entire state. Sure, Brownsville is more dangerous than ALL of South Dakota, but NYC, as a whole, has a murder rate that is exactly the same as South Dakota.

Are you sure that "glass half empty" didn't apply to Chicago being misportrayed as the " Murder Capital" over and over again for logging more murders than 3 times larger NYC.
