Speaking of cities that had dramatic COVID spikes in shootings and homicides, Denver is a really great example.

Literally everyday since COVID, a shooting in either Denver or its suburbs

St. Louis is at 132 homicides as of 10/29/23. As long as the city ends the year with less than 159 homicides, which was 2014's total, we will have had our lowest number of homicides since 2013, which had 120 homicides.
