At some point in late February/early March, we’ll get a better sense of how these stand compared to each other. Different police departments have different timelines to reporting homicides.

Yikes it speaks loudly when New Orleans has more murders than LA so far. But then again about half the murders so far are set in or around downtown LA.

New Orleans is showing that we're still pretty well into the post pandemic era of crazy (accounting for 2022 Q4 homicide recession).
