Gun violence decreasing despite the warmest winter in 91 years. Love to see it.

I'm sure Hampton will cool off but portsmouth off to a bad start. What about Petersburg?

Roanoke has as many homicides as Richmond right now? Very bad sign.

DC is actually trending down. It started the year up over 50% for most of January. The numbers are coming back down to reality. I still think DC will finish the year below 200 murders this year. Crime is down significantly from 2010-2019, but the perception of crime is what we’re fighting. Shootings are way down, but the type of gun used in shootings has changed which has increased fatalities.

Pg also had another yesterday, 2 in Charles county.

Charles county bordering PG county has more than doubled in 2022 already at 4 on the year with only 166k

31 (29 this year) now...Right now for the month it's about 1 homicide every 2-3 days which means it should be around 15 for the month.
