We were only at 2 this time last year.

Grizzly happenings in the suburbs too this year. A few weeks ago, a mother in Duxbury killed two of her kids then tried to kill herself. Just recently a father in Andover killed his son and his wife before killing himself. Usually those two towns aren’t high on the murder list for Greater Boston.

To early for a trend imho, but for that cities sake.. any substantial reprieve is a blessing.

Baltimore 3 in the last 24 hours to 34 for the year.

Oakland 11...a criminal rights activist who owned a cupcake shop was killed when she was dragged in the getaway car in an attempted robbery. She did not believe in incarceration and her family is saying she wouldn't want her killers in jail. Sad story but not a viewpoint I agree with.

San Francisco 5
San Jose 3
Seattle 8
Portland 7...had 101 total last year so encouraging signs, but like Baltimore way too early to call a trend

Just as somebody said "It's too early for a trend" and boom...3 homicides in 24 hours .

I guess the warm weather (It was like 60F yesterday which is warm for February) doesn't help.

Saw this elsewhere.

I'm fairly liberal and do believe that there are BS sentences and injustices out there. But homicide? Nope...throw them in jail and never let them out.
