It seems like not too many around downtown and an improvement but just need to focus on rt 40 on the west, park heights and get Hartford rd under control.
"Greater Park Heights" seems to be just as bad as last year base on numbers so far.
Things near Carrollton Ridge (and Sowebo in general) are a little bit better this year, but still not great.
East Baltimore above Orleans St is another "hot" area that's similar to Route 40 in West Baltimore.
Agree on Harford Rd (especially near Northern Pkwy) - was bad last year, and still bad this year.
For DT - homicides are never a big problem in the area...it's about similar to most big cities nowaday in terms of crime. Surrounding areas are still VERY shady, though.
Anyway, total hit 120 (117*) after one in SE Baltimore, and one with a body found in Cecil Co being count as a homicide in the city since it happens in the city.

DC is definitely not doing great at all. The far NW bubble is safe but seems like SE WOTR along with NE is just not great at all.
Portsmouth now at 21 after a man was shot outside of a motel, which is right across from the infamous London Oaks projects. There was also a double shooting yesterday which left one in critical over in Douglas Park.
Mass shooting in Richmond puts them at 32, father and son killed after a graduation ceremony.

116*
Baltimore's counted 4 homicides that have taken place outside city limits in 2023. Counter productive for city image, but it is what it is. DC being a bad weekend or two away from Baltimore in raw metrics is also sad.

Lynchburg is actually 3 for this year and sadly all minors (and all happening within a few blocks of each other). I was only about a mile from the Richmond mass shooting yesterday while walking home from work. Happened in broad daylight in a public park at VCU. Really tragic and sad.
KCMO at 80 after a seemingly random highway shooting in the downtown loop that left a woman dead. People have truly lost their minds
