Baltimore number so far, 145 (139*) homicides, down from 183 same point last year.

Non-fatal shootings are also down from 360 to 342. Decrease not as drastic, though.

I mean having 28 people shot during a mass shooting didn't help.

Boston had another on the 1st, bringing it to 18 for the year.

Compared to 13 this time last year.

Imagine a "bad" year in your major city being only 18 homicides....Chicago gets that in one total summer week

It's a demographics thing, not per capita.

*demographic/cultural thing

the uncomfortable truth nobody wants to discuss. Let's keep blaming "root causes" and "nothing to do in the neighborhood" on why these "teens" are obssessed with killing each other and assaulting/carjacking/robbing innocent people in Chicago

Lol okay and? New York is 4x the size of Chicago yet has far less homicides and crime in general. I feel more comfortable walking around Manhattan at 3am than I do in many neighborhoods on the south/west side of Chicago during the day.

Chicago has a massive crime problem that people for some reason like to act isn't a big deal.
