Minneapolis and Denver are definitely in pretty different biomes. Minneapolis wasn't part of this thread, and the rest of the cities here exist in pretty similar biomes.

All of these look noticeably different from the actual great plains. Much more green. The comment I responded to was a response to your comment on people not considering the eastern prairie being considered one region with the western great plains. Minneapolis was brought up more than once in this thread.

I'm just trying to point the overarching similarity of the surroundings of most of these cities. Most of the cities at question have a lot of commonalities. Denver is probably the biggest outlier and the only one in an arid climate.

You picked the flattest part of Dallas County - that is not representative.
My list (in order): Omaha, Kansas City, Des Moines/Denver equal. Oklahoma City and Dallas not very influenced by Great Plains.
