I think its more like, coastal cities over size. Size correlates though.
This looks right as far as housing. With taxes and cost of utilities, LA and SD would likely move ahead of Boston.

Seattle may have been top 5 at the high of last year, but housing is -12% on the year. Probably a celebrated correction for those who aren't homeowners.

For housing id swap NYC Area and Greater Boston, but yeah you are probably right about LA and SD.. also higher taxes than MA overall.

Not sure about utilities and taxes pushing them past Boston
