Don't know much about Des Moines or Omaha, but having been to Tulsa a few times I find it pretty much the opposite of cosmopolitan and cool.

Without KCMO in the running I'd pick Tulsa, but yea... KCMO wins out pretty easily. It's sort of smack dab in the middle of the country too. I heard someone describe it as pretty "self sufficient" from an entertainment standpoint since it doesn't have other nearby large cities to contend with. Like, when compared with Indianapolis (where we live), people see Indy as a decent place to live often because you can get to other nearby cities for a weekend trip, etc. I think KCMO sort of stands on its own.
