You don't have to stick to the city proper, but have to live within 5 miles of these cities' downtowns. So you could live Trenton and live in Morrisville, but you can't pick Trenton and live in, say, New Hope.
Wilmington for me. Not that it doesn't have its issues, but there are some really nice parts to it. Just for safety alone, Trenton and Newark get dropped from consideration. And New Brunswick just feels kind of blah to me. Wilmington has more character to it. Fairly close proximity to Philadelphia International Airport is also a plus.

Trenton has looked horrible, whenever I've tried to street view there. Same with Newark, assuming the one in NJ was meant.
For me, it's a coin flip between Wilmington and New Brunswick. I'd probably go with Wilmington, since it's bigger than New Brunswick.
Yuck not much of a choice...I can't even choose between the lesser of the evils. I'd have to take New Brunswick I guess.
