If you were given a fairly decent paying job (around 100K a year), but the job was in Oregon or Washington State, which state would you choose to live in and why?
I also like both states: both Portland & Seattle are great cities but I chose Washington because the Puget Sound has more to offer than the Willamette Valley IMO
On 100K you're giving up 9K in Oregon just on income taxes. But then again the cost of living in WA is generally higher. IN GENERAL, West of the Cascades, OR feels a lot smaller while WA has a faster pace big-city feel to it (most especially true in the Portland vs. Seattle areas).
