But this doesn't hide that fact that Pittsburgh IS the fastest declining metro in terms of population loss (with the exception of New Orleans which lost due to Katrina, and may even be back close to pret Katrina levels by 2010).

And, when did anyone dispute this?

Then it's probably not even good enough to be ranked.

Frigid? Even Pittsburgh, the farthest north of the three, is not especially cold. I mean, none of them are on a par with Minneapolis or Chicago.

I agree. I went to Pitt for nursing, know a little bit about the medical school rankings. Pitt's the best of the three.

Let's see...I live in Pittsburgh currently and have not become a huge fan of the place even though there are lots of good things to say about the area. Whether deserved or not, Cincinnati has a reputation of being somewhat backwards politically and a tad racist. I've visited there before and wasn't particularly impressed. Louisville is a nicely laid out, progressive city and probably has the best economy out of all three, but it's attached to Kentucky.
So I would say...Pittsburgh, if I had to choose from that group. But really "none of the above!"
|
Louisville is not a "frigid, declining, rust belt city." Have you ever even been here? What's wrong with Kentucky?

I'm going to go with Louisville. It's probably the funkiest and most dynamic of them all despite being the smallest. And I like the bluegrass and rolling hills that surround the city. It's just a much more serene, open place.
The weather is better, too.

Where did you get this info about Pittsburgh's Suburbs???
That might be the most ridiculous thing I have every read.
Please clarify.
