Do you people even know what "yuppie" is? It's not pertaining specifically to whites....

LA and SD are not white bread at all(though many of their suburbs are); however, I still consider them to be very Yuppie. Its not necessarily a bad thing.

Boulder pops in my head. It's not on the list so I chose Denver. Denver and Minneapolis are very yuppified.

I always thought Atlanta, Columbus, Raleigh, etc were much more yuppified than Denver....

Yeah, DC is definitely East Coast. But if you want to say, for the sake of argument, that it is not then DC would win hands down. If there is one thing DC has, it is a lot of young, urban professionals.

Well, I confess to just skimming it, but the title does say NOT on the east or west coast. I missed Philadelphia, but we Pennsylvanians like to remind people PA does not have an ocean coastline!

To say that DC is not considered a "traditional" yuppie city is incorrect, IMO. Perhaps that's because I've been there a lot as my BFF lives in NoVa. That's traditional yup territory.

Boulder has only 94,000 people, and is "almost" a suburb of Denver.

The first one is the glistening, latte-filled metropolis of Austin, Minnesota.

I think Columbus is getting overlooked in the poll.
