Sorry we hurt your feelings. By the way, I have nothing against ATL, as a matter of fact I like to drive in Atlanta, it's a real race track experience
Don't flatter yourself - it takes much more than the likes of you to hurt my feelings.
This has nothing to do with Atlanta, so why do you bring it up?
And just so you'll know on future visits, real Atlantans prefer to get across town on the train. We consider people from out of town that like to "race" on the freeways to be childish rubes.

I only did it because I observed other drivers go at 90. I liked it though.
I just returned from New York and did not find it to be that aesthetically pleasing. Besides the Chrysler, and a few of the newer buildings it was pretty bland and down right ugly in some spots.
At night it looks impressive, during the day not so much.
NYC's skyline is very dark, and dreary. The Chicago skyline (and many newer skylines) is much brighter and more diverse.
I do like the newer buildings and some of the new projects going up in New York. It's just unfortunate that they can't get rid of many of the eyesores scattered throughout the skyline.

It's dark because there are so many buildings that block the sun. In Chicago there are so many gaps in their skyline that sun can get through, hence making it brighter.

Sun light is a good thing. I'm talking about the coloring of the buildings though. For example:
When you are around the Hancock Tower most of the buildings are a light tan color and have a type of Victorian Flair to them. You get a very distinct feel when your in that portion of the skyline.
Along the portion of the waterfront where the lake and river meet all of the buildings are blue or green and made of glass. You feel as if your in a beach city. Its a very light feel.
When your near Michigan Ave and the river the buildings are very old and are mostly darker colors.
The skyline varies as you move along it. The South Loop has all modern buildings with simplistic and modern designs.
Probably been there more times than you. I almost lived in Chicago two years ago. Was there for a month two years back, things with work fell through. Would have stayed. Spent time in the Navy back in 93 too. Did my A school there. Know exactly what I am talking about. I also know that Chicago does a better hotdog than any other city in this country including NY. Most just don't know that yet. They can keep their deepdish though....As far as the loop.
For Gtowne, I know exactly how the loop is designed. The loop is nice but downtown Chicago doesn't even come close to downtown NY. Sorry just being honest. Like comparing Ford escorts to Lamborghini's. So although you have your opinion that NY isn't impressive. If this is really your honest view, then I shudder to think of what your honest view of Chi town would really be. Also as far as your color scheme regarding buildings. I guess to each his own. I personally like darker buildings. That was what I didn't like about Chicago is the pinkish rustic colors of some of their buildings. This is strictly personal taste here.

hmmm Im sure visiting a city during its very nasty winter ending will seem very unfair. Also by your post it seems like this is one of the first times youve been to NYC. I mean if you think NYC has no great buildings, you either didnt travel too musch out of the tourist areas or to afraid to admit how great the architeture is. IDK whatever floats your boats Here are just some pics(i will post more soon)

No Hot Dog beats the original Nathans Hot Dog Stand in coney Island
^^ No, I've been to NYC before. This was my 1st time back in over a year. And I said I liked some of the newer buildings. And you've posted a million pictures up already of buildings in NYC.
I still have my same opinion. I'm not alone in my view. You also failed to show a lot of the bad and downright depressing architecture of NYC.
